What book would you like to recommend?

I would like to hear what books you have read lately and would like to recommend! Please respond so we can have lots of great choices for students to view.

Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie

I will start with one of my favorite books which won the Maud Hart Lovelace book award last year. It is Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick. It is the story of 13-year old Steven who is dealing with his little brother's cancer. It is a great story about how Steven balances his brother's illness with his own problems. I think that students from 5th grade and up will really enjoy this book. It's great for adults too!

Welcome Talahi students and parents! I would like this to be a fun site where students, parents and staff can comment on books that they are reading and make suggestions to others. I would love to have students write about books that they are currently reading and recommend them to other students. It would be fun to have a place for students to check when they need a recommendation for a great read! Please join me in writing about your favorite books.
